What's New in Receptys: October 2026

A live demo you can try without signing up, reminders patients can confirm in one tap, and bookings patients can change or cancel in the chat.

We spent the last two weeks on the parts of Receptys a clinic uses every day: the patient chat, reminders and bookings. Here is what changed.

Try it before you sign up

There is now a live demo clinic. Open the demo and chat with it the way a patient would: ask a price, ask whether a time is free, book an appointment. No signup, no card. It is the same assistant your patients would talk to.

Reminders patients can answer

Patients who book through your chat get a reminder 24 hours and 1 hour before the appointment. On Telegram, the 24-hour reminder ends with "Reply 1 to confirm, or 2 if you need to reschedule." Email reminders, sent to patients who booked through your web chat, have Confirm appointment and I need to reschedule buttons.

A confirmation shows as a badge on the booking. A reschedule request lands in your handoffs, so your team knows to get in touch.

Changes and cancellations in the chat

Patients can now move or cancel an appointment in the same chat they booked in. Asking for a different time moves the existing booking instead of creating a second one, and the assistant asks for a clear yes before it cancels anything. Patients who booked on the web get an email when a booking is confirmed, moved or cancelled.

A chat that starts straight away

Your web chat page no longer opens with a form. Patients start typing straight away, and the assistant asks for their name and contact details only when they book. If they come back later, the conversation is still there.

Your clinic's time zone and prices

Receptys detects your clinic's time zone and currency when you sign up, and the times patients see are in your clinic's local time. Prices come only from your own service list, so the assistant does not guess.

Safer handoffs

If a patient describes urgent symptoms, the conversation is handed to your team immediately: it appears first in your Handoffs inbox, you get an email, and the assistant does not give first-aid advice. On web chat it then asks for the patient's name and mobile number. After a handoff the assistant keeps helping, and your team can reply from Conversations on web chat and Telegram.

Practitioners and calendars

On Pro, each practitioner keeps their own diary, so one practitioner's booking no longer blocks another's time. Google Calendar sync is included on every plan, and connecting a calendar now requires your clinic login.

What has not changed

  • Patients reach you on Telegram and your own web chat page, with a QR code for the front desk.
  • Instagram DM and Facebook Messenger are on Pro. Meta's app approval is still in progress, and we connect pilot clinics now.
  • Receptys does not connect to WhatsApp.
  • Plans have no booking or conversation caps. See pricing.

See it with your own clinic
